The planets recently discovered in this solar system in the habitable zone inspire me to design the story that is based on both my science fiction and fantasy...
I ask the famous what if questions that are in many writing or inventing guides, which are among the best known and most effective means to an end for creativity. What if there is a life form, an extraterrestrial civilization that appears like a gateway, an entrance to galactic reality.
What if Gliese turns out to be the
Home of elves, dwarves, orcs, dragons and other mythical creatures our fantasy
proves what if this world in its super-earth splendor took a more magical course, a more interconnected one in its dealings with nature and life, based on symbioses with all life, if religion there is a worship of the source, the first cell, the mother.
So far, so Avatar.
If the elves in particular practice what we would call magic and rule over the planetary system by means of telepathy, thought power and alchemy and other arts that we have only rudimentarily discovered, they can sometimes achieve things by means of teleportation that still seem hidden to us because our path is a technological one.
What if these elves abuse their power, in the enslavement of their fellow creatures and in wavering in their own nature, which can turn them into vampires, they become demon summoners of strange, truly strange, abysmal beings.
What if there is a fight on Gliese between these elf vampires and the other peoples and species of the One, a rebellion, but also an interesting development takes place.
A steampunk-oriented approach to the technological revolution that nevertheless puts other approaches first so as not to become a copy of these ideas. But the Tesla-oriented technology frees the other races from their inferiority on a magical level and the elves react as everyone reacts in this universe, with prohibition, repression and much more that lurks beyond our imagination.
Because magic is atavistic, it takes us to worlds and areas that can be far more terrifying and bizarre than our level and our science has revealed so far. But we are also dealing with addictive personalities, with degeneration and with the fact that drugs began to degenerate the elves, the sacred access to the mother was replaced by the Almighty, to do whatever you want, it is your right, whatever it is.
And in the midst of all this, thanks to the amazing inventions of the oppressed, the peoples and races of Gliese begin to receive first radio and then television signals from a distant solar system. They appear to be messages, a bewildering variety of information that tell completely different myths and stories and yet similar ones to those that Gliese also sends, albeit more telepathically.
And in the consequences of these sounds, images and messages of all kinds, which become more and more extensive with each light wave year and with improvements in reception, helping the oppressed to rise up, but also preparing the entire culture and reality of Gliese's civilization for new values and possibilities, in these decisive years and decades, centuries and millennia we observe and accompany this world that is so strange and yet so similar.
I think I have explained the basic principle. Gliese is
STEAMPUNK
and fantasy, horror and science fiction are unequal, a first approach to my personal style, over time the contacts/overlaps between Earth and Gliese will naturally grow and sooner or later humanity will set out in the form of robots. Which in turn will bring the almighty into our world.
AND AS WEIRD AS ALL OF THIS MAY SEEMS AT THIRD GLANCE, I THINK THE IDEA AND THE BASIC CONCEPT ARE NOT ONLY CREATIVE AND WORTH PURSUING, I THINK THERE IS FEASIBLE COSMOLOGY BEHIND IT THAT COULD BE FUN, EVEN IF IT'S NOT YET MY FINAL ONE, BUT SEEMS LIKE A MUSCLE GAMBLING.
Maybe I just have to wait until something even better comes along, my Lord of the Rings, my Discworld, my Game of Thrones, but everything about nonreality was already very similar in its thought process; it too is about realities and fantasy and that everything could and will be different and more than we suspect.
Gliese was created because I think about how and what my
Second written
I want to create something that is bold but conventional in its efforts to invent worlds, just as one does in art and its appendages. I want to let go of my exuberant joy in inventing, give it a reliable garden in which my words and values entertain and disturb in a colorful mix, without constantly rubbing up against the restrictions of journalism or free trade zones.
Writing as a creative act of combining everything, and since what comes to mind is built from my inspirations and research, it is probably a natural process as always. I am at its mercy, I let it happen for the most part. I develop in the truest sense of the word.
Until now I was thinking of conceiving Demon World as the past of Earth or Mars, that would be an alternative. But it's about this exciting discrepancy between technology and magic. Between Mother Nature and Almighty Father (God) and the differences in belief outcomes and a thousand other things that influence me.
